Osteria La Buca

Marisa Eat, Italian, West Hollywood | Hollywood

THE GET DOWN

Osteria La Buca can easily be one of the best kept Italian secrets in this city.

Each and every time we have been here, our meals have been nothing but consistently delicious. With an array of handmade pastas on the menu and pizzas straight from the wood-burning oven, Osteria La Buca is equipped to give Osteria Mozza a run for their money.

The best part is that it’s not as difficult to land a table! (and you can’t say that about the latter). The side dishes are simple and understandable too.

Who wouldn’t be in the mood for a grilled veggie or potatoes? Osteria La Buca is worth the trip even if you don’t live in this part of town.

And if you have tots on hand, early service is best of course. The space is more on the causal side, but the tables are rather tight. Capri is sure particular about her Bolognese. Osteria La Buca, you have her full attention!

Rating System:

It’s our goal to make exploring LA either with the kids or with grown ups as easy as possible. Click through the tabs above to check out our rating system.

For those with little
runners & screamers:

Easily forgiven:

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.

Not promoted, but you should take the chance:

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.

Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:

I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

No contained area:

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.

Enclosed, but space is tight:

If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
