For nearly 20 years, Marisa Molinaro has traveled the world for inspiration.

While spending most of her childhood and early adult years as a competitive violinist and pianist, music has led Marisa to some fascinating places.

A business owner, fashion model, competitive violinist, pianist, mentor and mom, Marisa enjoys eating, creating, and idealizing concepts for interior spaces.

This talent for creating truly one of a kind spaces blended with a love of food led Marisa naturally to restaurants. Together with her longtime love of 18 years, she has owned and operated some of the hottest restaurants in Chicago.

She has also spent time in the classroom, having received her Master’s in Education, Marisa has mentored youth as well as created a nutrition based curriculum for the after-school program Common Threads, founded by celebrity chef Art Smith.

With the birth of her daughter, Capri, Marisa’s creative spark was once again lit on fire while seeing the world through her eyes.

Together, while rediscovering LA as a family, The Spotted Cloth was born to help other families explore and find colorful adventures.
