If you want to feel like you’re in Venice, Italy for real, without actually leaving the country, then check out the Venice canals. After all, this IS how Venice got its name. Venice, California that is… duuuuh! The Venice Canals are a super sneak chic neighborhood and a highlight for any visitor or newbie to LA.
The Venice Canals makes for a super scenic, relaxing walk with the family. Wear stripes if you really want to get into it and belt out a tune or two; take a family photo here for the Christmas cards this year. The kids will love climbing the bridges, looking at the boats, or spying an occasional duck here and there.

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
