THE GET DOWN
A place to create definitely lives up to its name, offering creative art classes of all kinds to all ages. From plush toy making and woodworking, to knitting and creative storytelling…
A Place to Create also offers art camps, fairy tale breakfasts and even transitional preschool. There’s always something to keep your hands and your imagination immersed in the wonderful world of ART here.
Words cannot really describe the head teacher/owner of A place to Create, Ms. Molly; But if I tried I would say she’s compassionate towards the children, passionate towards the arts and most of all splashy, bohemian and wildly creative.
This summer we participated in a Magical Land themed Art Dance and Music camp. It was 5 days of glorious wonder that will forever fuel the foundation of expression.
Story time in itself was a production, starting first with music and movement that captured every littles attention. Once settled in, the children eagerly stared at a blank wall while the story candle is being lit and the chimes are playing. Everyone is now silent. Once upon a time, Ms Molly begins. And before you know it, she begins to draw the backdrop to the story she’s telling on the wall that was once blank.
You can hear a pin drop in the class. Until Ms. Molly announces the art project that follows, which of course adds another dimension to the story. And the crowd goes wild! Magic I tell ya!
How surprising. How exciting. How motivating to create in the freedom of just BEING. The curriculum at A place to create is thorough. NO detail has gone unnoticed. Multiple teachers tend to the students while Ms. Molly steers the ship. You can tell she’s a seasoned veteran. A place to create is guaranteed to expand a child’s imagination to a place with no limits. How glorious to live in a world of creative freedom.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
