THE GET DOWN

When the WAZE app takes you ways you’ve never seen in LA before, you can trust you’ve arrived at “The Underground Museum”.

I’m sure this was intentional. After all, the Museum’s co-founder, artist Noah Davis’ work is known for Blurring reality in imaginative ways. The current exhibition at The Underground Museum is called “Artists of Color”.

The exhibition was specially curated by Noah Davis and showcases work from MOCA’s collection. It magically exemplifies how people interact with color. In reality; on canvas; sculpted or created in your mind, “The Underground Museum” will take you everywhere to nowhere…

For a brief second, you may think… is this it? Until you follow the colorful walkway into a Zen like oasis in the backyard. This is when you’re happy you remembered to throw a few toys in your bag for your tot.

Ahhh… and go figure there’s a tiny juice bar. Grab a watermelon, lemon and ginger drink to refresh yourself while the melons are still ripe. Pull out the snacks and continue.

There won’t ever be a good time to leave, but when you do, exit through the gift shop. It will be yet another gracefully reflection of the intimate experience of “The Underground museum”.

Rating System:

It’s our goal to make exploring LA either with the kids or with grown ups as easy as possible. Click through the tabs above to check out our rating system.

For those with little
runners & screamers:

Easily forgiven:

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.

Not promoted, but you should take the chance:

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.

Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:

I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

No contained area:

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.

Enclosed, but space is tight:

If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
