Have an afternoon solo? Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu at E. Baldi.
The place is too quiet and conservative (in a good way) for the young’ins, so its best to save E. Baldi for a date. The scene is filled with high- powered producers, top execs and plenty of celebrities which makes it fun.
LA just loves the minimalistic design (or no design) of this place. I love sitting on the patio outside and watch the passerby as they try to peep through the shrubs to spy someone they might recognize.
The carpaccio at E. Baldi is always fantastic. It’s nice and light, fresh with the perfect amount of tang. Pairs well with a salad if you are trying to stay on the extreme healthy side. (But c’mon, when in Rome. Who orders a salad at one of the best Italian restaurants in town?) I have a soft spot for the linguini and clams. I literally order it every time.
E. Baldi is a perfect spot when you have just enough time for a speed date. The food, a drink, a scene and no kids? What can be better?

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
