THE GET DOWN
I by no means profess to be an expert of Sushi, so you can only imagine my excitement when I looked at the menu at Sugarfish and the words TRUST ME stared me in the face. Yaaaas. I’ll have THAT!
Quality DOES start with the fish. Just like the principals of Sugarfish. And this becomes immediately apparent when the first bite of Sashimi just melts in your mouth! The perfectly warmed rice surrounding the sushi then made its way out, and wow! Just like the sashimi—so light, so soft, sooo good. How on earth does one get rice to melt in your mouth too? Not sure, but then again, I don’t even need to know because the folks at Sugarfish got me forever going back.
They really pack in the peeps in this place, so if you are dining with a screamer, not to worry. Their voice will be muffled amongst the rest. However, if you are coming with a runner; GULP. The space is quite tight. You might have to keep them strapped or just pull out the big guns upon arrival. YES, the iPad, of course. This IS the time, this IS the place. Whatever you do, rally to make it work! Sugarfish is THAT worth it.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
