Lenny Krayzelburg is a swimming institution in LA. And they run it like so. Any age, any level will have a place here at Lenny Krayzelburg. The baby swim classes (under 3 years old) are taken with a swim instructor as well as an adult. So definitely come prepared to get in the pool with your little.
The ‘save yourself’ method is the first thing taught at Lenny Krayzelburg. And it doesn’t matter the age, you will be taught to go head under water and then float on your back. Classes for the babies and tots are 15 minutes in length. As a parent you already know that this is probably the attention span of your little.
As you advance with skills, you move to a different class. Sticker books are kept as incentives and encouragement, and the kids really look forward to filling up the book.
Classes here at Lenny Krayzelburg are paid for in advance and replenished automatically each month. If an instructor has to miss a class or if there is a change in instructor, you get notified via text ahead of time. If you have to miss a class then you can make one up a month.
Classes in the morning are FAR less crowded than classes held in the latter part of the afternoon. You may walk in one afternoon and feel overwhelmed, but just remember that Lenny Krayzelburg has been doing this a long time, and no scheduling detail will go unnoticed. Your child WILL be accounted for and your lesson will start precisely on time.
Prices are reasonable for this essential life skill. Most Instructors are young and vibe well with the young ones. Parents can sit alongside the pool and watch. If you have any apprehension at all, you will only be a couple feet away.
Extra Bonus…The pool is salt water! And heated to 90 degrees…And family swim is held on Sundays from 3-6pm. So if diving into a warm salt water bath (aka pool) isn’t enough encouragement to get in, then I don’t know what will be…lol
Lenny Krayzelburg also offers adult swim classes as well as group fitness classes. Hitting two birds with one stone is always spot on in my book!

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
