La Tropezienne is a quaint little stop along La Brea’s shopping district. Though the bakery itself is bright and minimalistic, step inside for a warm welcome by the Frenchies and grab yourself a dang good croissant.
If your shorty is nice enough, the girl behind the counter might even offer him chouquette… on the house. Who can say no to that sweet little nugget (The chouquette that is)?
La Tropezienne will remind you of the bliss when discovering one bakery after the next, wandering about the streets of Paris. The sandwiches are tasty, the baguettes are crispy and the pastries are … well French, so naturally as perfect as they can possibly be.
La Tropezienne does have a small menu to go alongside the beauties in the case, so if you’re feeling hungry, have a seat, a sandwich and let your mind wander to the cobblestone roads you dream…

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
