THE GET DOWN
Good Heavens! IN my 20 plus years of being a foodie, traveling around the world, eating at the most interesting and magical places, I have NEVER .. yes.. NEVER had a croissant as good as I’ve had at La Chouquette.
Light, airy, slightly buttery and perfectly crisped. At first bite, you can not only hear the sound of an ever so beautifully crisped layer of flakey goodness, but you can actually SEE the multi -layered beauty.
You’re probably saying to yourself that you never even NOTICED the sound of a perfect croissant, but trust me… it has one. You can find it at LA Chouquette.
Oh, wonderful croissants: chocolate, cheese, swirls and even plain…I think about you every day.
The goodness doesn’t end here though. The freakin éclairs! Good Heavens once again. The eclairs are not only gorgeous.. absolutely gorgeous.. but are also mouthwatering delicious. Take some to a friend’s house for an impressive dessert!
Oh, and the gourmet sandwiches. There’s nothing more that I like then when a sandwich has the perfect filling to bread ratio. Keep in mind they are Euro style. Small and light. Why not cut a couple into bite sized pieces and create your own little tea party at home?
La Chouquette is a stop you won’t have to convince any toddler to make. Let them occupy themselves by peeling the chocolate out of their croissant while you bite into your goodness and convince yourself you are in FRANCE, even if it’s for this moment.
La Chouquette, thank you. You’ve made an impression in my heart that will remain forever.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
