THE GET DOWN
Hollywood Farmers Market is the Mecca of ALL farmer’s markets in LA. By this I mean that it’s the largest! It takes consistently going to get to know all the vendors, and even then, you might STILL not cover all grounds.
The people are the entertainment here at Hollywood Farmers Market. You will definitely find a guitar player or two, an awesome food vendor to eat at and interesting little boutique vendors selling artisan goods.
If you are a Farmers Market hopper like my family, you can make a day out of your Sunday morning. Either way, you have to park in the parking structure on Vine no matter when you arrive, so you might as well take a walk around the hood too, right?
There are plenty of restaurants and street art all around, in addition to characters of sorts. I mean of course, this IS Hollywood!
Some of my favorite vendors at Hollywood Farmers Market are the ones we hit at Santa Monica Farmers Market on Wednesdays: Weiser Farms for potatoes, Fat Uncle Farms for almonds, Wong Farms for tomatoes and Roan Mills for that ridiculously delicious Country Batard bread. Farm fresh produce is simply the best!

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
