THE GET DOWN
A straight up 1960s style diner, the 101 Coffee Shop IS a true Hollywood Landmark. I can’t say that the menu will blow you away (though the meatloaf is quite delicious), but the set up itself will have you forever going back.
The 101 Coffee Shop serves up the good ol’ American classics along with a high energy nostalgic scene. From stone walls, to Formica tables, the 101 Coffee Shop is bound to bring back a memory of childhood (unless you are a millennial of course :). Tuna melts, burgers, pancakes and eggs—the menu at the 101 Coffee Shop will reach the pickiest taste buds.
Eat at the counter, or sit in a giant vinyl booth at the 101 Coffee Shop. It’s a great spot to gather a large group of friends along with the kiddos, enjoy a beer and burger and some good laughs. No worries if your tot needs to get up and stretch those legs. There are plenty of places to run in the hotel that is attached.
My favorite part? The 101 Coffee Shop is one of the best people watching scenes in all of LA. From the artsy folks, to the LA natives, the rock n rollers, to the conservative types that wondered what they just walked into. If you can’t have fun at the 101 Coffee Shop, then you miiiight just not know how to have fun!

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
