THE GET DOWN
Sitting in Studio City’s “Tajunga Village” area since the early 1960’s, Vitello’s is a simple and classic Italian spot for everything you crave. Not only do the pastas, marsalas and parmigianas make Vitello’s your go-to Italian restaurant, but the vibe here comes with a unique flare.
By day, Vitello’s is bustling with a neighborhood lunch scene. People are either getting down to business or sipping a glass of wine, relaxing al fresco while watching people go by. Come to Vitello’s at night and you get a different vibe with even more options.
Gather for a meal downstairs and you can listen to live piano/voice in the backdrop while still hearing the convo going on at your table. Travel on upward and you will step into Vitello’s supper club. There is always some interesting live performance going on here. From jazz to blues, Latin to R&B, Vitello’s is sure to hit your flavor. Be sure to check Vitello’s website for the schedule of events.
Dining with a tot? No prob. Vitello’s sits on a very family oriented street and seems to carry that tune inside as well.
The supper club upstairs is also kid friendly, though, respectfully I would get there on the earlier end of service if you are planning this outing with the fam. Unless of course your kiddo can sit still for a good amount of time (and mine certainly cannot). If the latter is the case, then I’d say Vitello’s is the most parent friendly, kid activity in this neck of the woods.
Cheers!

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
