Sophisticated and stylishly chic, Gjelina is the scene to be scene. Better to bring kids during the day since the vibe is more relaxed than in the evening. It gets really crowded for both lunch and dinner so call ahead for a reservation if possible.
The pizza is fantastic! But they won’t make any alterations or exceptions to the menu, which is annoying to say the least. They wouldn’t even hold off on the croutons in my friends salad and she’s celiac! In fact, they suggested she get the cooked spinach instead. ??
You know what? I have a bittersweet relationship with Gjelina. And then sometimes I think, well, this IS LA? The food isn’t as mind-blowing to me as people hype it up to be, but.. did I mention the scene? I’m addicted to people watching. I can’t help myself.

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
