THE GET DOWN
Julienne’s is a gourmet market perfect for eating in or taking home. The food is done right.
Whether you are there for breakfast, lunch or the “in-b’tween” course, Julienne’s will feel like a fancy little café in Europe; with everything you might have a taste for to choose from. From Crème Brulee french toast, to chilaquilles; nicoise salad to a salmon sandwich.
The patio is compact and cozy. It’s tight corners (and quarters) are not forgiving to runners. In fact, if you do have a runner, you just might need to sit this place out.
There is a particular rule of conduct set forth at Julienne’s, similar to a fancy Michelin rated restaurant in Europe. Julienne herself will ask that you carefully monitor the conduct of your child and gracefully remain off of your cell phone and/or ipad. Yes, we got the talk. Gulp. But there was something sweet about her approach at least.
So…there goes your chance. The trick that always worked. Wait…Can you try headphones?
Dang, even the gourmet shop next door where they make fresh food daily is super tight. How bout you just check back with Julienne’s on a day without the kids or the first day of Kindergarten and forget you even read this. Hmph.

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
