Just like its counterpart Nick’s in Laguna Beach, Nick’s on 2nd is one of the hottest places happening in Long Beach. Nick’s on 2nd delivers consistently delicious food AND service, which is a rarity in LA. Then again, Nick’s on 2nd is in Long beach so maybe this helps ;).
You have a sense that you DO belong here, just as you would an exclusive clubhouse. Nick’s on 2nd is located on the corner of a hustling street filled with restaurants and boutique shops all around. But with so many places to choose from, how do you know you’ve made the best choice?
When you walk through the door and are warmly greeted by a hostess holding an etch-a-sketch. Yes!
Not only did they notice you’re with child, but the friendly people at Nick’s on 2nd are also mind readers, and know that YOU deserve a break. And this is only the beginning. All of a sudden, you realize that the menu is the same as Nick’s in Laguna and immediately order the Asparagus fries. Crisp, delicious and justifiably healthy (I mean it is asparagus).
The place is buzzin, the game is on, and the kids are occupied… so why not order a drink while you debate the chicken or blackened fish sandy? Nick’s is just that kind of place.

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
