THE GET DOWN
Straight out of an old western movie, The Old Place serves up some hearty American fare. The experience of a meal at the Old Place is so worth the adventure in itself!
Once you arrive you may think “where the heck am I and how did I get here?” And then… in walks the banjo players! Yasss! The Old Place is THAT kind of place. Friendly people and fun vibes is what you will get at The Old Place.
The Old Place is very small, so I recommend making a reservation or you will be waiting a pre-tty long time on a table. If you do happen to miss the boat on calling ahead, there is a wine shop next door that will help you kill some time. Order a glass (or a bottle), sit outside and relax .Bring some toys, or maybe a ball for your little ones. There is plenty of room to spread out while you wait for a table at The Old Place.
Did I mention The Old Place is a loud place or did you gather that by the mention of strolling Banjo Players? You guessed it… The Old Place is perfect for screamers! And since the Old Place sits on a whole lotta land (though none of it is enclosed), your runners will be A-OK too.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
