Malibu Café is pretty much the perfect gathering place for peeps with peepsqueaks. It’s located on the newly renovated Calimigos Ranch and hosts acres of fun activities all around.
From paddle boating to life sized connect four, to lawn chess, building blocks and enough corn hole games to go around… it’s best to make a day out of Malibu Cafe!
There are a couple dining options here: a sit down table service restaurant as well as food stands with plenty of BBQ booths all around. I can’t say the food is anything to write home about, but the environment is everything.
Though you might be tempted to stash some food in your bag and picnic on the grounds, outside food is NOT allowed. I suggest eating before you get here orrr just grab a bbq chicken along with a $7 ear of corn and chalk it up as a win. It’s a small price to pay for a day of fun!

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
