THE GET DOWN
The Redbird restaurant is housed in an old cathedral, the architecture alone is worth the trip. There’s plenty of space to move around here and plenty of furniture to climb in the lounge.
If you have a youngin’ in tote, you might want to hit Redbird during early service hours of weekend brunch or dinner.
I have only been during lunchtime when it was slow (and perhaps the reason why they probably don’t have lunch service anymore) but I definitely noticed both times that the social scene at Redbird is more on the conservative side.
It’s a place you’d want to lock down a deal, or take an out of town guest, or your cousins from Italy that are into architecture, or your in- laws!
Ok, you got the jist. Of course the first time we went to Redbird, literally the Pope was visiting, so the garden area outside was blocked off by the FBI.. ha! But Capri had a great time measuring the big open windows and mommy and daddy had a great burger and salad. It was worth going back.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
