THE GET DOWN
Little Sister is to LA as Tao is to NYC (but now, LA has a Tao) so .. well, you catch the drift yet? I’m talking layers here. Food and design.
It’s not too often that Asian food takes me to another level. My first bite into a rice roll here and Little Sister made me do a double take. My eyes glazed around the room as I started noticing detail… in everything. The walls, the finishings, …the food other people were eating…
Oh my… and then back to my rice roll… the sweet potato, then jicama, then sausage … and that sauce. Oh no you didn’t! The entrees arriving to our table at Little Sister kept getting more interesting and exciting. The spicy lemongrass chicken; Wow!
Little Sister’s bistro vibe is loud and fun with the right balance of elegance and casualness. You will NOT be able to hear your screamer in there that’s for sure. In fact, its better they have headphones on anyway.
The bittersweet ending to this amazing experience was the mainstream un-filtered gangsta rap music played both times we went for lunch. This is something that needs to be taken into account now. Draaag

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
