THE GET DOWN
This brasserie is always a blast. There’s a lot of action going on within these super duper tall white walls. The colorful packaging, the diverse social scene, the hussle and bustle makes up for the color the white walls lack (which is probably their point).
I would have marked Bottega Louie’s macaroons as the best in LA until Lauderee rolled into town. Sorry. But please don’t miss them. Take them home and eat them right away or they will crumble to pieces. At least this is MY excuse for eating the whole box. You absolutely can’t leave here without getting a pretty box of something!
If you have a runner, keep them close. There isn’t a whole lot of extra running space around with the people this place packs.. The food is just ok, but like i said the scene can’t be beat, and neither can the portobello mushroom fries! So if you do want to sit for a meal, then hand your pretty box over to your tot and let them get at it while you shovel. Ok, I kid kid?

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
