THE GET DOWN
What started as a small bread shop, Lodge Bread Co. has transformed into a wholesome, delicious, reliable relateable little café. The cuisine is simple and understandable.
The avocado toast is the prettiest I’ve ever seen. It has shaved colored veggies and chunky avocado that sit right atop this inch thick, super delicious homemade seeded country bread.
The hummus, I still remember its flavors. Smoked Trout, I’m coming back for you. And the pastries… I’m not even going to write about them because you’ll see what I mean when you get there.
Its ALL about the bread…
If you have the tots in tote, sit on the outside patio right in front of the bakers window. Capri LOVED watching them make dough. If you have runners… the space is TIGHT. I mean TIIIIGHT.
And if the latter is the case, then PLEASE PLEEEEASE take home a loaf of bread!

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
