The Original Hoy Ka
THE GET DOWN
It’s rare I find a Thai restaurant that’s apart from all the rest. Yes, most are delicious but sooner than later, the flavors are on repeat and you find yourself ordering the pad thai … again. Until you arrive here.
The Original Hoy-Ka is a standout. I couldn’t even repeat what I ordered the first time, so I went back and payed more attention. Lordy! ~ That Pad Ka Pro (see, I sound like a pro) with ground pork was deeeelicious. And the Sneaky Pork? Memorable as well. And if that wasn’t enough, then there’s the Mango sticky rice… Oooo…That Maaango sticky rice!
On top of all its deliciousness, The Original Hoy-Ka has a cool look.
It’s Ware-housy and artsy, and has a down home feel of the natives of Thailand. Its bistro vibe makes it a cool hang even with a wrestless tot.
Oh, and they have a parking lot in back. Perfecto!

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
