Tasting Kitchen
THE GET DOWN
The menu at Tasting Kitchen is perfection. The chicken wings, oy! So good. Slightly crisp, slightly sweet, p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y glazed.
It’s probably better (or a ton easier) if you don’t go with kids since the place is dark, intimate and insanely crowded with people and tables.
There is not much free space for the runners either. Even if your kids will sit still, I feel like intimately lit and tight restaurants like the Tasting Kitchen bring about a more serious vibe and don’t work so well with the young crowd.
Trust me, I’ve tried it. Even when the doors first open. Fortunately we were just grabbing a snack at the bar on the way to dinner so papa bear and I worked it out in shifts.
The folks that gather at the Tasting Kitchen are more a sophisticated foodie, hipster chic, get down to business or cocktailing (either one, maybe business is cocktailing?) They aren’t as forgiving to the screamers either so save this place for a date night because it will definitely be worth it.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
