Nobu (Malibu)
THE GET DOWN
Its NOBU. Need I say more? Weekend brunch is a fun scene. The bento box gives you the best of all worlds. The Chilean sea bass.. divine! Nobu sits right on the ocean so the scenery couldn’t get better.
It’s not the best place for runners or screamers, but there are ways you can make it work. I can only compare the feeling of being a runner there to a bull in a china shop. Everything seems a bit fragile and at the first take off, you’ll see people reaching for their plates. Getting a table outside would be your best best if you have young ones.
The combo of the airy, beach scene, the waves, the sand, makes it a bit more soothing for the oh so curious ones (at least it did for Capri). Nobu is TOO good NOT to make it work.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
