THE GET DOWN
Can’t go wrong with a meal smack in the middle of the woods. And if the kids get a little wild on you, well, you’re outside anyway so it’s okay! Sitting near the stream and bringing some small rocks for the tots to throw in always helps.
There really is something magical about surrounding yourself with nature in a posh type of way. Its like lodging at a five star hotel in the Adirondacs where the staff will build you a fire and make you smores, and your only job is to relax.
The Inn of the Seventh Ray has a buffet on the weekend (the only time we’ve been) with plenty of good eats for the whole family. You can order off of the menu as well. Inn of the Seventh Ray is a great place to bring out of town guests, the grandparents, in-laws or host any special occasion. Inn of the Seventh Ray is truly a gem.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
