Silverlake Ramen
THE GET DOWN
Don’t be discouraged by the lines out the door of Silverlake Ramen. This just means it’s THAT good. Yass…
A time when you gotta do what you gotta do to get your hands on it.
Silverlake Ramen is a divey little noodle shop with about 12 tables. So if you do need to wait outside (and chances are you will), the kids will find the dog grooming shop next door amusing.
The ramen at Silverlake Ramen obviously makes this place special (especially the Tonkotsu), but there are a couple other standouts that are worth trying too: The Soboro Bowl and the crispy rice with spicy tuna.
The Soboro Bowl (which is popular among the kiddos) is a bowl of sweet ground chicken with scrambled egg over rice. And the crispy rice with spicy tuna is out of this world! I just loooove tuna with the perfect amount of heat.
There’s definitely a little something for everyone at Silverlake Ramen. And the loud and casual bistro style vibe means that your screamer will be “A”-ok.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
