Pot at The Line Hotel – Permanently Closed
THE GET DOWN
I think this is the perfect place to meet friends for an early dinner. Why? Well mainly because the restaurant POT in the Line hotel has a “night out” in NYC vibe all the time and it’s a place you can go to with the kids and forget it’s only 5 pm!
Aside from Roy Choi and the large portions of Asian deliciousness (communal sharing encouraged), Pot plays loud music, has no windows, and with people hustling to the tables, you will pretend you didn’t even notice your two year old doing laps around the place. The lobby at The Line hotel is the best “playground” for those runners!
Its modern design along with furniture ledges to climb on make it a cool hang (just make sure no ones looking). Check in with the gift shop as well. They always carry cool stuff that you never knew you needed.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
