Westside Pavillion Food Court Play/Westfield Mall – Permanently Closed

THE GET DOWN

It never rains in Southern California, but it sure gets hot! If you’re in this little part of town (technically called Cheviot Hills. It’s just on the outskirts of Century City) and need a kiddie-Mommy break on an insanely hot day, Westfield Mall is a good stop.

The Westfield Mall has an air conditioned kid zone in the food court, perfect for over-heated toddlers. You can even grab a cool drink while the kiddies climb and play. And Mommies…don’t forget the hand wipes.

Giant pieces of fruit invite your little runners and screamers to climb their hearts out, while getting rid of all that built up car energy. There’s a bunch of miniature amusements rides to climb up and down and in and out of as well. You know, the kinds of rides that used to actually cost a quarter in our day? Just dooooon’t be tempted to put money in or you’ll get trapped.

In all honestly, your toddlers will have just as much fun climbing to the top of the banana.

Rating System:

It’s our goal to make exploring LA either with the kids or with grown ups as easy as possible. Click through the tabs above to check out our rating system.

For those with little
runners & screamers:

Easily forgiven:

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.

Not promoted, but you should take the chance:

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.

Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:

I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

No contained area:

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.

Enclosed, but space is tight:

If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
