Daiso (Sawtelle)
THE GET DOWN
The only thing better than your ordinary dollar store is the Japanese $1.50 store.
It’s bright. Super bright. Almost to the point of having to wear your darkest shades while indoors. Don’t give in! If you do that, you won’t be able to completely immerse yourself in a plethora of color.
Daiso is filled with everything you didn’t know you needed. You will come home and say, what was I thinking? Then remind yourself it was only $1.50 and its pretty freakin’ cool anyway.
If you spend $30 or more at Daiso, then you have gone overboard. Do a final walkthrough of your basket before you hit the check-out line.
And please don’t leave without buying your little one at least one tiny bag of erasers. Even YOU will have a hard time picking just ONE out.
They also make perfect doll house furniture and finishings for the over 3 crowd.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
