Pizzana
THE GET DOWN
The LAST thing you would suspect Brentwood needs more of is another Italian spot. I mean, just walking down San Vicente alone you’ll probably find a handful of them.
But when an Italian chef pulls in, (one with a dynamic personality at that), another “Italian” restaurant is exactly what Brentwood needs.
Unlike the other Italian spots in Brentwood, you realize why Pizzana, with its casual and hip atmosphere, packs them in. Expect to be waiting up to an hour for a table if you don’t reserve ahead (WARNING:they only take limited reservations).
Thankfully there’s a toy store next door to keep the tots occupied while you wait. Just like you might suspect to have in Naples, Pizzana greets you with very thin, very light, airy crusted, gooey pizza. Among other frills are the perfectly done, zucchini blossoms.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
