Roxbury Park
THE GET DOWN
Can’t ever go wrong with socializing at a park in Beverly Hills. Especially on the weekend, Roxbury Park attracts families from all over town. This is how I like to find out about schools and interesting activities around different areas of LA. I poll the playgrounds and talk to everyone. And this park happens to be a good one for that.
Roxbury Park is beautiful. It’s spread across several acres of land, complete with adult basketball courts, tennis courts and not too many dogs. There is lots of lawn space (where kids play soccer), a separate sandbox area with “cranes” to sit on and dig with, a water playstation in addition to 3 different play areas to choose from. Roxbury is great for all ages. It is beautifully shaded too.
WARNING: If you have multiples or a runner you don’t want to keep running after, Roxbury Park does NOT have any enclosed play areas. Why oh why?

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
