Peek-a-Boo Playland (Bel Air) – Permanently Closed
THE GET DOWN
I particularly love this Peek-A-Boo Playland. The drive to the top of the mountains in Bel Air is breathtaking. And the backyard of Peek A Boo overlooks these mountainous canyons. The space itself is happy: bright, open and spread out over multiple rooms.
Peek-A-Boo Playland is a good place for multiples and runners. Escaping requires a challenging latch to the next room, but even if they do this, there is no exit door. Peek A Boo has the details thought out; including a balcony filled with toys for the two and under crowd. Do you have tots with an excess amount of energy (and if you don’t let me know your tricks please!!)? Peek A boo Playland has a big bouncy house, slides, a mini race track AND a kitchen… You name it…they have it!
Peek A Boo Playland is a cool mom hang I must admit. Moms from all over town come here! The great thing is that you can tap their knowledge and find out all you need to know about scheduling, napping, pooping, schools, snacks and happenings in and around the neighborhood .This is when I first saw Slammers Snacks (@slammerssnacks) floating around the picnic tables inside. Who doesn’t need a super food refuel? Slammers Snacks are healthy, convenient and tasty! I’ve been hooked ever since.
The Clay Pot Indian restaurant is also really good. Since it shares the same lot as Peek-A-Boo, the owner will personally deliver your order right to you. Bel Air grocery market is next door as well. The guy behind the grill is there Monday – Friday at lunchtime!
Plan on spending the day at Peek-A-Boo. There are great snack options all around and hours of make believe play to be had. The kids will sleep well once you get home. Heck, maybe you will too! Peek A Boo Playland is closed on weekends for private parties.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
