Kettle Black – Permanently Closed
THE GET DOWN
The rustic, yet euro chic hipster feel of Kettle Black brings Italian to life.
Hitting it at happy hour is always a good idea. Happy hour will also be most forgiving with the tots in tote. Ask for the table with the sidewalk view and please PLEASE take advantage of the $4 Peronis.
In fact, a slice of cheese pizza and a glass is just what you need right about now… no? And at the happy price of $8 (for the slice which includes a beer or wine), you won’t mind sharing … the slice that is.
The kids won’t be mad at it.
On the dinner menu at Kettle Black are some fav’s for everyone like popcorn chicken parm and meatballs. Bring some crayons and let your kids crawl under the table just this once, as you happily sip your drink and watch the hipster chic crowds of silver lake pass you by.

For those with little
runners & screamers:
Easily forgiven:
Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.
Not promoted, but you should take the chance:
If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.
Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:
I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.
No contained area:
A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.
Enclosed, but space is tight:
If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
